Registration Opens for All Other Divisions
Celebrating our more seasoned frisbetarians the Shades of Grey Masters Only PDGA B-Tier singles disc golf tournament is only for masters and above ‘age protected’ divisions, September 21-22, 2019. Playing one round on the Whispering Pines course Saturday and one round with golf carts on the Beast course Sunday. The Shining Mountain golf club will also host a Long Drive, Putting and Mini Disc Golf competitions with a portion of those entry fees going to charity. Prepare for a fun weekend competing with your peers instead of youngsters half your age. Registration opens for women’s divisions June 21, 2019 and all other divisions open June 24, 2019.

$105 Professional divisions / $95 Amateur divisions
Entry fees include greens & cart fees for Shining Mountain and one meal on Sunday for all divisions.
Professionals will be paid with PayPal email used on registration.
Old school amateur payouts in merchandise with smaller players pack.

Player check-in, Long Drive, Putting and Mini Golf will all be at or around the main building with the bar/restaurant, pro shop and restrooms.

The Whispering Pines course is a drive away from the main building with it's own parking lot. From the main building go north on hwy 67 a couple city clocks to Lucky Lady Drive. Take that through the golf course and stay straight at sign for Disc Golf Parking up the hill. The actual parking lot is about half mile down that road with pull off to the left. The parking lot is the starting point for both the Whispering Pines and the Serenity Pines disc golf courses.

Being a multi-use golf course please be courteous to all golf players and employees at shining Mountain. We want to show our best respect as we usually do. The Beast course requires golf carts which is why we'll take it easy on Sunday after playing through the pines on Saturday.

The awards ceremony will be as soon as possible after the last cards turn in their last round scores. All registered players receive one meal redeemable only on Sunday so don't forget to use that, maybe while you're waiting to receive your award.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH TOURNAMENT SPONSORS!

Extra Fun Events

Half of these entry fees will be donated to DayBreak Adult Day Program. Prefer online registration so you will receive scorecard in your players pack. But registration for all three extra fun events will also be available on-site at tournament central. Each event can be played multiple times by same player to achieve best score and raise most money for charity by purchasing and turning in a new $6 scorecard every time. Click/Scroll through each tab for specific event info.

Best Distance of 5 Throws Plus 1 Mini Driver Throw

Half of entry fee goes to charity, other half goes to payout. Open to all registered players only with separate Pro and Am pools. On the driving range each player throws 5 of their best drives plus 1 throw with the Mini Driver, counting only the farthest drive of the five plus the Mini Drive distance using their phone camera to record/prove distance totals. Distance is your farthest drive plus the distance of your Mini Driver throw, so the highest scores are best.

2 Throws from 10 Stations to 1 Basket

Half of entry fee goes to charity, other half goes to payout. Open to all registered players only. Everyone plays a qualifying round Saturday and the top scores will move on to Putting Final Round Sunday before awards. Putting course still TBD but each player throws their own two putters from each station.

9 Hole Mini Disc Golf Course

Half of entry fee goes to charity, other half goes to payout. Open to all registered players and the general public with signed waiver. There will be a mini practice basket to warm up on. On a 9-hole course each player will use only mini discs (no junior discs) and play normally from each tee to each mini basket. Lowest scores are best like regular scoring. Mini course still TBD but will have map available.

Official Tournament Charity

DayBreak offers the at-home, 24/7 caregiver respite while providing meaningful activities and social interaction for their loved one, preventing a premature nursing home placement.

Caregivers are dedicated and caring, but more often than not they are exhausted. They need a break from caregiving to take care of their own needs. DayBreak gives the caregiver an hour, a half-day or a full day of respite while their loved one engages in meaningful activity and social interaction in our “home away from home” setting.

The goal of DayBreak is to provide respite care for the individual who may need some help or supervision during the day while his/her caregiver takes a break from the daily challenges of caregiving.
