PDGA TOURNAMENT  https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/65546

PDGA C-Tier playing one-round of 18 holes per-day with shotgun start for maximum camaraderie. There will be a lot of OB areas that mostly follow the original ball golf sand traps. The creek and all the lakes on the course are also OB and will be flagged with a nice cushion away from the water so you won't have to throw on crazy steep banks or in the weeds. These OB areas will be flagged with clearly marked directions if you do throw out of bounds. Hole 2 is the only Mandatory route on the course and will have a drop-zone near the tower. Water jugs will be provided at hole 1/TC and hole 9. Most divisions offered upon registration opening, but may consolidate divisions closer to the event with permissions from everyone involved. Please read and understand the refund/cancelation policy before registering; it's exactly the same as the the PDGA rules. True Amateur event with large players packs & trophies for the amateur divisions and $750 minimum added pro cash.

EXTRA FUN EVENTS OVERVIEW

You will receive a scorecard during player check-in after registering online. Anyone can play as many extra fun events as they wish, including over and over again to get the best score. Just pay for another round with the TD at tournament central and you will receive another scorecard. All of the extra fun events will be before the first round Saturday morning. The Putting Competition will be two rounds with first round being before Saturday's round, then the finals being played out following the second round Sunday afternoon before the raffle and award ceremony. Those who paid for the Dry Dock Front Nine event during online registration, can use their front nine score when they don't want the fun to stop and pay onsite for the 18 hole event and then just play the back nine holes. So being masters considerate, you don't have to play 27 holes at Dry Dock to compete in both extra fun events there. There is a map for the Dry Dock Brewing disc golf course lower down on this page as well as on the DG Scene and Facebook pages. Half of the extra fun events entry fees will be used for payout, the other half will be donated to charity.

ONE-SHOT CTP $4

With your own putter ONLY, you get one shot on hole 18 to get the CTP or closest to the pin. There will also be a separate $2 Ace Pool for this extra fun event. There will be a bag with notecard and pencil attached to a flag for you to write your name on if you throw closer than the previous position of the flag. Please take a picture with your phone too just in case. Play as many times as you like by purchasing another scorecard from the TD to get a better score. Will have Pro and Am divisions with separate awards, maybe extra divisions based on interest. Half of the entry fees will be cash payout and the other half will be donated to the Paul McBeth Foundation.

PUTTING COMPETITION $6

Two-round event, first round Saturday at Centre Hills DGC then the top finalists will advance to the final round at the Dry Dock Brewery Sunday afternoon before the raffle and awards. Those advancing to finals will be announced at Sunday's players meeting. First round will be playing from multiple stations around hole 17's basket with two throws from each station using your own putters before Saturday's PDGA round. Only mark each putt made on the scorecard, total of 2 possible each station. The highest number of successful putts will move on to the finals. 2023 Shades of Gray Masters Schedule

Official Tournament Charity

Paul McBeth Foundation

The Paul McBeth Foundation will develop and introduce sustainable disc golf experiences in underserved locations with limited or no access to the sport.

About PMF

Most disc golfers are very aware of who Paul McBeth is and what he has done on disc golf courses over the last 15+ years. They may not know as much about his passion for bringing the joys and benefits of disc golf to as many new people as possible. Paul is where he is today because disc golf was available to him in a setting that typically would not have had accessible disc golf courses. Paul would like to see future generations in similar areas have a chance to learn life lessons and experience the joy and community that playing disc golf affords. The Paul McBeth Foundation is Paul's vehicle to make this happen!

The Paul McBeth Foundation is a corporation registered in the state of Virginia. Official 501 (c)3 status has been secured with the Internal Revenue Service.

Our Vision

The Paul McBeth Foundation sees the incredible benefits that disc golf can provide for both individuals and groups of people. The golf lessons learned on the course associated with hard work, commitment, integrity, critical thinking, decision making, communication, and building and maintaining relationships go way past the course and deep into the futures of all who participate. The Paul McBeth Foundation is committed to making this a reality for as many people as possible.

Our Game Plan

The Paul McBeth Foundation is looking for opportunities to either install disc golf courses or provide portable disc golf options in areas without easy access to the sport. Projects ranging from putting baskets in the ground overseas to providing portable baskets to an urban community center cannot be the foundation's end game, though. Providing resources and education to develop and sustain consistent play has to happen to fulfill the foundation's mission.
